Omar Daley is expected to return to Bradford's squad for their Carling Cup clash against Nottingham Forest.

Jamaica international Daley was sent off at Chesterfield towards the end of last season and sat out the last of a three-game ban in the opening-day defeat at Shrewsbury.Watch Bradford City v Nottingham Forest Soccer Live stream, Online scores, 10/8

The winger could even start against Forest, but midfielder Michael Flynn remains sidelined with a back strain and hopes to return at the weekend.

Manager Peter Taylor has no new injury or suspension problems, but could rest several players with Saturday's home league clash with Stevenage in mind.

Summer arrivals Tommy Doherty and teenage striker Louis Moult, on a six-month loan deal from Stoke, both started on the bench on Saturday and could start against Forest.Watch Bradford City v Nottingham Forest Soccer Live stream, Online scores, 10/8

Kelvin Wilson is an injury doubt for Forest.

The defender was forced off at half-time with an ankle problem as the Reds began their Championship campaign with a 1-0 defeat at Burnley on Saturday.

Luke Chambers replaced Wilson at Turf Moor and he is on standby to start against the League Two club, who Forest beat at the City Ground at this stage of the competition last season.

Boss Billy Davies will be forced to make changes as a handful of players are away on international duty.

Chris Gunter and Robert Earnshaw are with Wales, Radi Majewski with Poland and new loan signing Ryan Bertrand with the England Under-21 squad.

Paul Anderson, Lewis McGugan, Garath McCleary and Dele Adebola could find themselves in the starting line-up after having to settle for the bench at Burnley.

Craig Davies will miss Chesterfield`s Carling Cup clash against Middlesbrough through suspension.

The striker must serve a three-match ban following his controversial red card in the Spireites` 2-1 home win over Barnet on the opening day of the League Two campaign.Watch Chesterfield v Middlesbrough Soccer online stream, 10/8

Ian Morris is an injury doubt after the on-loan Scunthorpe midfielder limped off in that match.

Blues boss John Sheridan will not want to make too many changes for the televised first-round tie.

Derek Niven could force his way into the side, depending on the fitness of Morris and whether Sheridan opts to partner Drew Talbot with Jack Lester in attack.

Jordan Bowery and Scott Boden are also alternatives in the absence of Davies.

Middlesbrough travel without stricken midfielder Willo Flood and a number of players on international duty.

Flood dislocated his knee in Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Ipswich after colliding with team-mate Matthew Bates and is expected to be on the sidelines for six months.

The news comes as a major blow to manager Gordon Strachan, who had seen Flood recently return from a knee-ligament lay-off.

Julio Arca could come in for the 25-year-old but Strachan is definitely without Kris Boyd, Stephen McManus, Barry Robson, Kevin Thomson and Tarmo Kink due to international call-ups.

Brad Jones has been named in the squad despite mounting transfer speculation over his future at Boro but Gary O'Neil is still out.

Rhys Williams (pelvis) is a long-term absentee with Boro expected to give their younger players a run-out.

Boss Dario Gradi is set to keep faith with the players that lost to Hereford on the opening day of the League Two season when Crewe host Derby in the Carling Cup first round.Watch Crewe Alexandra v Derby County Soccer Online broadcast. August 10

Alex`s campaign began with a 1-0 home defeat on Saturday but Gradi will resist the urge to make changes for the visit of the Championship club.

"It is on my mind to change things but I don't think one defeat is reason enough to abandon what we have been working on all summer,'' said the Crewe chief.

"The players worked hard on Saturday and some of the football we played was very good.

"We just needed that end product, but there is a long way to go and I still think this team can go on a decent run.''Watch Crewe Alexandra v Derby County Soccer Online broadcast. August 10

Derby will assess the fitness of defensive duo Russell Anderson and Dean Leacock.

Both players are nursing injuries after the Rams began their Championship campaign with a 2-1 win at Leeds on Saturday. Anderson (groin) was replaced at half-time while Leacock played for an hour with a knock.

Anderson is expected to miss out but Leacock could feature against the League Two club.

"We will see how they are but I don`t think Russell will make it,'' said boss Nigel Clough. "We want to put the best side out that we can without risking anybody.''

Shaun Barker, who replaced Anderson against Leeds, and Jake Buxton were on the bench at Elland Road after missing the majority of pre-season following operations and are on standby to come into the starting line-up.

The Rams will definitely be without Paul Green as the midfielder is on international duty with the Republic of Ireland ahead of their friendly against Argentina on Wednesday night.

Exeter will check on the fitness of Steve Tully for their Carling Cup encounter against Ipswich.Watch Exeter City v Ipswich Town Live stream Soccer Online, August 10

Tully took a kick to his foot in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Colchester and could be a doubt, with Jake Thomson on stand-by to replace the midfielder.

Manager Paul Tisdale told the club's official website: "Steve took an awful whack on his ankle, it's black and blue. It looks very painful but I don't think it is anything more serious than very bad bruising.''

Striker Richard Logan will be hoping to feature after coming off the bench to score at the weekend but he is still not fully fit after a groin problem.

That means John O'Flynn and Daniel Nardiello could lead the line again but Jamie Cureton will also be hopeful of a start.Watch Exeter City v Ipswich Town Live stream Soccer Online, August 10

Troy Archibald-Henville (knee ligaments) is a long-term absentee.

Ipswich manager Roy Keane is without a host of players.

Goalkeeper Marton Fulop and striker Tamas Priskin played well during Saturday's fine 3-1 win at Middlesbrough but the duo have been called up to the Hungary squad which will face England at Wembley on Wednesday.

Centre-half Gareth McAuley was due to play for Northern Ireland against Montenegro on Wednesday in Podgorica but suffered a back injury at the Riverside and has withdrawn from the squad.

To complete Keane's international worries midfielder Conor Hourihane is away with the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad.

Winger Carlos Edwards created a goal for Priskin at the weekend before being forced off with a groin injury which will sideline him for several weeks while Mark Kennedy picked up a hamstring injury on his debut.

Keane has hinted his youngsters will be asked to fill in so the likes of Troy Brown, Reggie Lambe and Jack Ainsley could get rare starts. Connor Wickham (ankle) and Damien Delaney (blood clot) remain out.

Grayson is still without summer signing Billy Paynter (shin) and Robert Snodgrass (knee) while fellow forwards Max Gradel and Davide Somma remain suspended.

Manchester City midfielder Adam Clayton signed on loan for a month in time to make his debut as a second-half substitute in the opening-day defeat to Derby and will be hoping for a longer run-out against the League Two outfit.Watch Leeds United v Lincoln City Live stream, August 2010

Another summer arrival, defender Alex Bruce, could make his first competitive appearance but Grayson may be tempted to rest some of his other new signings after Kasper Schmeichel, Paul Connolly, Fede Bessone, Neill Collins and Lloyd Sam all appeared in a new-look Leeds side against Derby.

Lincoln have defensive problems ahead of the trip.

Adam Watts and Ian Pearce are nursing ankle injuries following the defeat at Rotherham on the opening day of the season.

Both players are doubts and City manager Chris Sutton could try to make a loan signing, especially as Danny Hone cannot be brought back during the first month of his six-month loan at Darlington.

"We will have to assess Adam but it does not look overly good,'' said Sutton. "Ian also has a bad knock, so they will both be major doubts.

"We will give them as long as possible but we will be looking at the possibility of bringing somebody in.''

Watch Southend United v Bristol City Soccer Stream Online, 10/8

Southend manager Paul Sturrock has a few "niggles and knocks'' to contend with for his team's Carling Cup test against Bristol City.

Ryan Hall - suspended for Saturday's league opener against Stockport - is back in contention but a virus means he is likely to start on the bench.

Summer signings Bilel Mohsni and Adam Bouzid are not expected to feature again with the Shrimpers still waiting for their international clearance.

United chief Sturrock is keen to earn a result against the Robins but has said he will give his fringe players a run out.

He told the club's official website: "We want to be as competitive as possible and hope we can get a result to keep ourselves good financially. The League Cup can be a money spinner.

"I'm going to give several of my other players an opportunity tomorrow because I really have got to have a look at people and get people up to match fitness.''

Damion Stewart and Sam Vokes are out for Bristol City.

Stewart will serve a one-match suspension after the defender was sent off in the opening-day defeat to Millwall while on-loan striker Vokes suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions just 13 minutes after coming off the bench to make his City debut.

Louis Carey (heel) and Christian Ribeiro (back) could ease the Robins` injury woes as they have resumed training.

However, fellow defenders Lewin Nyatanga and James Wilson, midfielder Kalifa Cisse (thigh) and strikers Danny Haynes (groin and thigh) and Nicky Maynard (knee) remain out.

David James` understudy Dean Gerken could be handed a run-out against the League Two club.

"I am still undecided but it might be a chance to give him a game,'' said manager Steve Coppell. "I can`t chop and change much because of the circumstances as it is a case of having 17 or 18 fit players at the moment.'

Plymouth manager Peter Reid has only one new injury worry to contend with for his team's game against Notts County.Watch Plymouth Argyle v Notts County Soccer Online stream, 10-8

Defender Kari Arnason was forced off during Saturday's defeat of Southampton at half-time after picking up an eye injury.

The 27-year-old is unlikely to feature and his replacement, Reda Johnson, could come in at centre-half, with Yanick Bolasie still doubtful.

Otherwise, Reid has a clean bill of health and could field a team similar to the one that defeated the Saints 1-0 at St Mary's.

On-loan David Button produced a match-winning save in that game but Reid may change his keeper.

With Button likely to be first choice this season, Romain Larrieu may be handed a chance to impress.

Notts County boss Craig Short will hand run-outs to some of his squad players.

Craig Westcarr could be one such beneficiary after the winger came on as a second-half substitute during the opening-day defeat to Huddersfield on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Rob Burch and forward Ben Burgess are doubts after sustaining knocks against the Terriers and may not be risked.

If that was the case, Stuart Nelson would start in goal with Karl Hawley, Jake Jervis and Kevin Smith battling it out for the right to replace Burgess.

Defenders Mike Edwards and Krystian Pearce and midfielder Jon Spicer could also be in line for starting roles after only making the bench against Huddersfield.

Cesare Prandelli is set to hand Mario Balotelli his Italy debut in tomorrow's friendly with Ivory Coast at Upton Park.Watch Italy vs Ivory Coast Soccer Live streaming, Espn tv

The 19-year-old Inter Milan striker, a target for Manchester City, will get another chance to impress the Eastlands outfit in Prandelli's first game as coach.

The former Fiorentina boss took over from Marcello Lippi after the World Cup, where Italy crashed out in the group stages.

"The idea of starting with Balotelli is that I want to use all the attacking potential at my disposal,'' said Prandelli on the Italian Football Federation's official website.

"I saw (in training) he was immediately eager to join the team. He knows that this is the beginning of a long journey.''

Balotelli looks likely to line up alongside Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano against the Ivorians, who also failed to make it to the knock-out stages in South Africa.Watch Italy vs Ivory Coast Soccer Live streaming , Espn tv

But while they came up against Brazil and Portugal in the first round, losing to the South Americans after a goalless draw with the Portuguese, Italy suffered the humiliation of only drawing with New Zealand and then losing to Slovakia to finish rock bottom of what looked on paper one of the easiest groups in the tournament.

"They are strong team and tidy,'' added Prandelli. "It will be a good test.

"The players know this is important, because soon we will being playing games that matter.''

Brazil-born forward Amauri could also make his debut for Italy in the match.

Roma midfielder Daniele Di Rossi will captain a youthful Italy side, but he acknowledges he is unlikely to hold onto the armband when senior players return.

"I feel a special responsibility to be the captain, because, as at Roma, I have tried to put the young group at ease,'' said Di Rossi. "The armband will go, when the other players like (Gianluigi) Buffon, (Andrea) Pirlo and (Gianluca) Zambrotta, who have more appearances than me, return.''

Di Rossi also claimed there was no rift between himself and former Roma team-mate Cassano.

"With Cassano I had some problems but now everything is okay,'' he added. "I accept and respect all my team-mates without hesitation. Cassano is the most talented of players.

"Mario (also) impressed me with his footballing quality. The whole group is doing well.''

Ivory Coast will also be under the leadership of a new coach, with Francois Zahoui now in charge, former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson having been in the hotseat during the World Cup.
